Level 3 Close Protection

Our Level 3 Course for Close Protection Officers gives you the qualification to work within the industry in the UK, however in reality offers so much more. RST is synonymous with high quality, value and options and this course is of such a high standard that it far exceeds the guidelines set down currently by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

Firstly, we run our 14 day consecutive course in Central London, the City where most of the work is and where many of your contacts will grow. We ourselves are also operational and will be looking for more and more staff as we approach the Olympics in 2012. In London you will rub shoulders with some of the best trainers and operatives in the country and work in many of London's famous landmarks and places of interest.

The RST Limited CP Training course combines the best skills from Military, Police and Embassy Close Protection to give you one of the most in depth and comprehensive Close Protection courses in the UK today.

This 14 day course is aimed at ex-Armed Force, Door Supervisors and Security Officers, as well as civilians wishing to enter the industry at the highest level. By keeping the course numbers to a minimum RST Limited ensure a high trainer / pupil ratio (6:1), as a result our pass rate to date is 95%.

All our trainers are qualified and operationally experienced. They have served with either the Military, the Police or on Embassy security details and offer a standard of training that is second to none.

Our basic SIA course is great value at £1395.00 (Inc.) however it offers much added value, including 2 days hostile and counter surveillance, Hard Target CQC and a days professional driving. Your final exercise will include an overnight stay in the South of England.

Whilst many of you will be seeking this qualification, RST can also offer a range of courses and experiences to really boost your CV as well as your enjoyment. Our international course (France / Eastern Europe) is over 19 days, simply extending the UK course to an additional 5 days abroad to include an exercise through international airspace, firearms, defensive / offensive driving, advanced CQC and a detailed exercise whilst abroad. Whilst you can book the course in its entirety, you can also take the international model separately. The price for 19 days is £2650.00 (Inc.) or £1500.00 (Inc.) for the international element only.

People often ask what else they can do to improve their knowledge and job prospects; we do not let you down. We offer a range of EMT courses (Emergency Medical Technician) approved internationally at basic, intermediate and advanced level (paramedic), professional driving, 3 day surveillance, Hard Target 'Self Defence' and etiquette and fine style, for the discerning client. All prices are available upon request.

For Ex UK military that are entitled to enhanced learning credits, you can claim 80% of the course fee (ELCAS number 3149).

You can book 'On Line' by paying a £350.00 deposit for London or £500.00 deposit for the 19 day overseas trip. There is a 5% deduction should you pay in full, by contacting Paula.

How do you achieve the qualification?

  • Continuous Practical Assessment
  • A written portfolio assessed internally
