Personal Safety and Conflict Management
Course Objectives
The course is designed for all staff and front line workers to manage conflict more effectively. The course teaches students to identify conflict situations and tutors them in the skills required to avoid or defuse difficult situations. Students will also learn the cause and effect of 'anger' and how by avoiding negative 'emotional triggers' they will be able to avoid escalating conflict and remain in control. The course covers conflict 'risk assessments' and the danger signs that are displayed when a situation gets out of control. The course is suitable for all staff who deal with the general public in adverse situations.
