If you wish to work in a frontline position within the security industry, it is now the law that you must have attended a relevant accredited security course. The SIA (Security Industry Authority) exists to manage the licensing of the private security industry and raise the standards of skills and professionalism within the private security industry.

Accredited security course

Here at RST, we offer accredited security courses aimed at giving you the qualifications you need to obtain an SIA licence. The process involves a 4-day classroom course (minimum 28 hours of learning delivered). The course is split in to 2 units, and a multiple choice examination is taken in both units, a pass rate of 70% or more is needed in both units to be successful and to attain the Accredited certificate from the awarding body. Once you have the certificate you can apply to the SIA for a licence.
